Catriona specialises in estate planning and all aspects of asset protection.
She provides advice on inheritance tax mitigation, including the making of tax efficient Wills, as well as making a Will to suit every type of family dynamic.
Catriona is experienced in administering complex and contentious estates and works closely with clients to achieve solutions to post-death tax planning issues. She has a particular interest in estate planning for the international client and for clients who own property in different countries across Europe and the rest of the word.
She also advises on Trusts and Powers of Attorney to give clients peace of mind for whatever lies ahead.
Catriona joined the firm in January 2017, having gained several years’ experience as a solicitor in two large Edinburgh firms, as well as undertaking an in-house role for a hospital charity. She is also a full member of STEP (The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners), having gained the Diploma in Trusts and Estates with Distinction. Catriona previously held the office of Judicial Assistant to the Lord Justice Clerk during 2003 to 2006 and is a Notary Public.
